The Finer Grain and Sarge's Grips

I have not worked with African Blackwood before this set, but I'm glad I found it. The wood itself is solid and heavy with graining resembling Wenge, but much more "closed". The color is a rich dark chocolate brown and the patterns in the graining are sharp almost like pheasantwoood. You get the great features of many different woods in this set. I think African Blackwood will become a regular medium on the site! The fit is great, and my "Total comfort" rule is in full effect. There are no corners or "chops" to dig your hand when shooting, or your hip when carrying. All surfaces have been rounded and are a pleasure to both hold and to see. Total comfort and beauty here! You won't find this level of fit and finish anywhere else. I have yet to see ANYONE else taking the time to shape the bob's like I do. There is a big difference there. The grips are finished in multi layered and hand sanded semi-gloss lacquer for the great protection and aesthetics. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the pics! Sarge
